What is she currently doing?

Works at transparency international in Colombia.

Coordinate the projects in political corruption.

New Questions around democracy

- How can we make an effort to really have a long term impact in communities?

(For example when we do this work with corruption in communities, working with resources for empowerment – but what happens next?)

Suggestions for the international Network and connection with the Foundation

I realized that there’s a lot of knowledge at the kettering foundation (…) and that’s a demand the foundation has. People are ambassadors for the types of works they do.

For me it would be interesting to open spaces like blogs to get to know that other fellows are doing.

The meetings are also very important: prior to the meetings we could connect to start preparing for them and have a specific agenda for each of the participants to share their research.

Have joint research – maybe frame issues in a more international settings. (ex.: online deliberation; open data, access to information, etc)

Quotes/Insights

What I learned as a fellow I was able to apply at the work I was doing back home [referring to her Master’s Thesis]

I have been a university lecturer and I have been using the concepts of deliberation in the classrooms.

I worked with public schools teacher in Chigago/5 different cities in Latin America.
