Quotes/Insights
I wanted to do the things that I did at the Kettering Foundation [referring to deliberative conversations] but I did not have a place to do it. (…) I then took a few chairs and tables of wood and then I went to a park near my place (…) – it was there, available and beautiful – so I took my chairs and my table and I made a circle, then I invited a few friends and the community. (…) A lot of people came, people from my neighbourhood, women that worked around the place, some of my students. (…) Now this place is a space where people can get together to talk about their issues.
